At Mayfair Placement Agency, we provide referral services for families and individuals seeking household candidates. We take the time to understand each client’s household needs and introduce candidates for their consideration based on the position, responsibilities, and preferences they provide.

Whether you are seeking a nanny, housekeeper, caregiver, family assistant, household manager, chauffeur, family cook, domestic couple, or another household candidate, we assist throughout the referral process—from your initial consultation through candidate introductions, interviews, and trial arrangements where applicable. Each client interviews and evaluates candidates and makes all hiring decisions directly.

HOW WE WORK

Candidate Introductions

We introduce candidates for your consideration based on the position details, schedule, and preferences you provide. You interview each candidate directly and decide whether to hire a candidate.

Placement Fees & Service Plans

Placement fees are paid by the client only when a candidate is hired. We offer Service Plans with different levels of trial periods, guarantee coverage, replacement searches, and payment options. Complete details are provided when a client requests our services as part of the onboarding process.

Trial Period

Full-time and part-time placements include a Trial Period under the selected Service Plan. The Trial Period applies solely to the Agency’s placement fee and guarantee. If the placement ends during the Trial Period and you notify us in writing on or before the final day, no placement fee is due. Temporary placements do not include a Trial Period.

Guarantee & Replacement Search

If a hired candidate leaves during the applicable Guarantee Period, we conduct a replacement search at no additional cost based on the original job specifications. The Agency guarantees the search effort, not a hiring outcome. Guarantee terms vary by Service Plan and are set out in the Service Agreement.

No Fees for Candidates

There is never a fee for candidates to apply or be referred. Placement fees are paid by the client only when a candidate is hired.

OUR PLACEMENT PROCESS

Client Consultation

Reach out by phone or email to discuss your household’s needs, the position you’re looking to fill, and how our referral process works. The information you provide serves as the basis for the candidates we introduce for your consideration.

Onboarding Documents

After the consultation, we provide the Employer Application, Service Agreement, and related forms. Once we receive the completed documents, we begin the referral process based on the position details, schedule, responsibilities, and preferences you have provided.

Introducing Candidates

We introduce candidates for your consideration based on the position details, schedule, responsibilities, and preferences you provide. You review each candidate and let us know whom you would like to interview.

Scheduling Interviews

We coordinate interview scheduling between you and the candidates based on everyone’s availability. Interviews may be conducted by telephone, video conference, or in person, depending on the position and your preferences, allowing you to evaluate each candidate directly.

Scheduling Trials

If you would like to arrange a trial with a candidate, we help coordinate the schedule and confirm the agreed dates with both parties. The candidate is paid directly by you for all hours worked during a trial. The Trial Period applies solely to the Agency’s placement fee and guarantee. It is available for full-time and part-time placements only and does not apply to temporary placements. Additional terms are set out in the Service Agreement. You evaluate the candidate and decide whether to proceed.

The Hiring Process

Once you have selected a candidate, we assist with communicating the agreed start date and coordinating the beginning of the placement. Details regarding placement fees, trial periods, guarantee coverage, replacement searches, and payment options are set out in the selected Service Plan and the Service Agreement.

After Placement

Following a successful placement, the applicable Guarantee Period is provided under the selected Service Plan. If a replacement search is available under the terms of your Service Agreement, we conduct the search based on the original job specifications. The Agency guarantees the search effort, not a hiring outcome.
